Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting dust in blast furnace gas by which in the case of alternately changing over a dry type dust collector and a wet type dust collector for recovering the dust contained in the blast furnace gas, the judgement of this changeover timing can be performed at better accuracy and quicker than the conventional method.
SOLUTION: In the case of collecting the dust contained in the blast furnace gas by changing over a bag filter as the dry type dust collector and a Venturi scrubber as the wet type dust collector, arranged by branching to exhaust gas piping in the blast furnace, a sample of the blast furnace gas is taken from the exhaust gas piping in each fixed time at the inlet side of both dust collectors, and this sample is immediately burned and NOx concentration in the generated combustion gas is measured. This measured value is compared with a pre-obtained relation between the NOx concentration in the combustion gas and alkali concentration in the dust and the changeover timing is judged based on a threshold set in this relation.
