Abstract:
To provide a method capable of selectively collecting useful metals and toxic metals contained in an aqueous solution with an inexpensive material.
There is used a method comprising a step in which an anionic polymer compound and a cationic polymer compound are added in a liquid containing a metal to be collected in an amount of 0.1 to 10000 ppm, respectively, the addition rate of the anionic polymer compound and the cationic polymer compound is set in the range of 1:1 to 4:1 based on the molar ratio between an anionic component and a cationic component contained, and the metal to be collected is coprecipitated together with the resulting polyion complex.
