Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coloring a plastics lens by a vapor phase method excellent in uniform dyeing performance.
SOLUTION: In the method for coloring a plastic lens in which a sublimable dye is spottedly applied on a substrate at prescribed intervals, the surface of the substrate with the sublinnable dye and the surface of the plastics lens to be colored are made opposite to each other at an interval and the sublimable dye is sublimed by heating with a heating means in the air or in a vacuum, the sublimable dye is spottedly applied to a larger range than the range of the plastics lens to be colored.
