Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overvoltage trip caused at a power restoration time and overcurrent trip caused by an increase in a slip frequency, thereby to enhance the reliability of a high voltage inverter and ensure a continuous operation time increased in comparison with the conventional cases.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for compensating an instantaneous power failure in a high voltage inverter. The method for compensating an instantaneous power failure of the present invention includes the steps of: determining whether an input voltage of a plurality of power cells is less than or equal to a first critical voltage; decreasing an output frequency of the inverter when the input voltage is less than or equal to the first critical voltage; determining whether a voltage of a direct current (DC) link of the plurality of power cells is greater than or equal to a second critical voltage; and increasing the output frequency of the inverter when the voltage of the direct current (DC) link is greater than or equal to the second critical voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
