To provide a method of composite welding, which permits stability of an arc to be upgraded and a welding speed and a work efficiency to be improved.
A method of composite welding is for welding a base material with a TIG arc generated on a preceding side with respect to a welding direction and with an MIG arc generated on a following side. In the method, a TIG current is set larger than an MIG current, arcs are continually generated in a TIG electrode 3 and an MIG electrode 4, and, in addition, an absolute value of a distance between an intersection of a central axis of the TIG electrode 3 with a surface of the base material 5 and an intersection of a central axis of the MIG electrode 4 with a surface of the base material 5 is 20 mm or less.
