Abstract:
PURPOSE: To alleviate symptoms of animal acquired immune deficiency syndrome, by administering a substance characteristic to an acquired immune deficiency syndrome- afficted cell in an amount less than the lowest amount necessary to provoke a humoral immune response, as exemplified by the existence of a positive wheal upon subcutaneous administration, to an animal except human. CONSTITUTION: This method for alleviating symptoms of acquired immune deficiency syndrome of an animal (e.g. cat) except human comprises administering a substance (e.g. human hormone for stimulating villi sex glands, etc.), characteristic to an acquired immune deficiency syndrome-afficted cell in aft amount less than the lowest amount necessary to provoke a humoral immune response, exemplified by the existence of a positive wheal upon subcutaneous administration, its pharmaceutically effective fragment and pharmaceutically effective derivative thereof together with an immunostimulator (e.g. bacterial lysate) in an amount less than the lowest amount necessary to provoke a humoral immune response in cooperation with the substance to the animal except human to effectively alleviate the symptoms of acquired immune deficiency syndrome of an animal except human.
