To provide a method for concentrating and recovering nutrient salts from ocean deep water, capable of recovering the nutrient salts by concentrating the salts, and to provide an apparatus for the same.
This method for concentrating and recovering the nutrient salts from the ocean deep water comprises producing phytoplanktons by using the ocean deep water, then producing zooplanktons by using the produced phytoplanktons, and further concentrating the salts into cells of the zooplanktons so as to recover the nutrient salts contained in the ocean deep water. The apparatus for concentrating and recovering the nutrient salts from the ocean deep water is composed of a phytoplankton-producing unit for producing the phytoplanktons by using the ocean deep water, a zooplankton-producing unit for producing the zooplanktons by using the produced phytoplanktons, and piping for transporting the phytoplanktons from the phytoplankton-producing unit to the zooplankton-producing unit.
