To provide a method which enables an effective grain size of a soil improving body formed by a high-pressure jet mixing method to be simply and accurately confirmed immediately after construction.
The high-pressure jet mixing method makes a hardener solution jetted from a spray nozzle of an injection rod penetrating to a predetermined depth in the ground and agitated for mixing, so that the soil improving body 60 can be created. In the method for confirming the effective grain size, before the hardening of the hardener solution for the soil improving body 60, a rod 1 equipped with a camera 11 capable of photographing an underground area penetrates the ground at a point on a ground surface 50 away from an injection rod penetration position 51 by a predetermined distance; an image taken by the camera 11 is displayed on a monitor 15 on the ground; and the presence of the harder solution is confirmed on the basis of the image taken at the predetermined depth.
