To provide a method of connecting an aseptic instrument to a culturing vessel capable of reducing a risk of contamination due to microorganisms of different kinds, and to provide an aseptic instrument unit.
The aseptic instrument unit 1 includes: an aseptic instrument 50 storing cultured substance C introduced into the culturing vessel 90 or a collected cultured substance C; main flow passage forming members 11, 12 and 35 connecting the aseptic instrument 50 to the culturing vessel 90; a main flow passage opening/closing unit 17; branch flow passage forming members 21 and 22 branching from the main flow passage Pa between the culturing vessel 90 and the main flow passage opening/closing means 17; and a branch flow passage opening/closing unit 27. In the method of connecting the aseptic instrument 50 to the culturing vessel 90, the aseptic instrument unit 1 is autoclaved with both the opening/closing units 17 and 27 opened, the main flow passage opening/closing unit 17 is closed, the main flow passage forming member 11 is connected to the culturing vessel 90, the culturing vessel 90, the inside of the main flow passage forming member 11 and the branch flow passage Pb are sterilized by steam, the branch flow passage opening/closing unit 27 is closed, and the main flow passage opening/closing unit 17 is opened. Thus, the aseptic instrument 50 can be aseptically connected to the culturing vessel 90.
