Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a low distortion power amplifier circuit of various transmission outputs, and decrease a part constant to raise reliability and lower consumption power.
SOLUTION: Signals from a signal path (a) and a signal path (b) are composited by a composite circuit 11, and a carrier component of a composite output is detected by a carrier detection circuit 17 and input to a feedforward control circuit 28. The control circuit 28 controls a variable attenuator 4 and a variable phase shifter 5, so as to minimize an output of the carrier detection circuit 17. After the distortion component extracted by the composite circuit 11 is amplified by an auxiliary amplifier 27 which comprises an allotter 21, amplification units 23 to 25 and a composite device 22, a pilot signal component included in an output of a composite circuit 9 is detected by a pilot detection circuit 18 and input to the feed-forward control circuit 28. The feed-forward control circuit 28 controls a variable attenuator 12 and a variable phase shifter 13, so as to minimize the output of the pilot detection circuit 18.
