Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the remote management of an access network with high reliability by sharing the existing management network of an optical wave transmission network.
SOLUTION: Access system communication frames 117, 118 and 119 are assigned among edge nodes 108, 109 and 110 as a management message communication link and a management network among the access networks 105, 106 and 107 are connected by a IP level. Besides, the edge nodes 108, 109 and 110 are connected to optical wave transmitting devices 102, 103 and 104 through the use of data communication channels 111, 112 and 114 assigned to the overheads of SDH(synchronous digital hierarchy) optical signals. Moreover, a management message communication band 113 which is previously prepared for managing the optical wave transmission network and a management message network DCN between NMS(data communication channel) and the optical wave transmitting devices are used to constitute the management network for managing the access network from NMS 100.
