To provide a method for constructing a blast furnace in a shorter working period.
This construction method comprises the steps of: preparing a slope way which connects a road for making a block transport vehicle move thereon to an upper surface of a foundation of the blast furnace; making the block transport vehicle carry a furnace top block from the road to the foundation of the blast furnace through the slope way; lifting the furnace top block on the foundation of the blast furnace while adjusting the position of the block transport vehicle; further making the block transport vehicle carry a lower berth block to be located at a lower berth onto the foundation of the blast furnace; adjusting the position of the block transport vehicle so that the central axis of the lifted furnace top block matches with the central axis of the lower berth block; and then lowering the furnace top block to connect the furnace top block with the lower berth block.
