Abstract:

To construct a portal pier for a viaduct without closing an existing road when a viaduct is erected over an exclusive area such as an existing road.

A pier base part block 2 is constructed on both sides of an exclusive area 1, a rotating mechanism 3 is provided at the top of the pier base part block 2, pier columns 4 are constructed successively on the pier base part blocks 2, and beam parts 6 are constructed successively using timbering from the top part of the pier columns 4 in the direction in parallel with the exclusive area 1. Then the pier column 4 and the beam part 6 integrated with each other are rotated in the center direction of the exclusive area 1 to match and connect the beam parts 6 to each other for construction.
