Abstract:

To provide an improved method for the continuous multi-process production of an alicyclic diisocyanate not containing phosgene.

This method for the continuous multi-process production of the alicyclic diisocyanate, comprising reacting an alicyclic diamine with a carbonic acid derivative and an alcohol to produce the alicyclic diurethane, and then thermally decomposing the diurethane to produce the alicyclic diisocyanate, is characterized by reacting the alicyclic diamine with the alcohol and urea and/or a urea derivative to synthesize the alicyclic diurethane, removing low boiling point and middle boiling point components from the alicyclic diurethane, thermally decomposing the alicyclic diurethane purified thus, while releasing the desired diisocyanate, continuously taking out a part of the decomposition bottoms from the decomposition apparatus, reurethanizing the part with the alcohol, separating high boiling point components, and then recirculating the purified substance flow into the process.
