To provide a method for continuously casting a clean molten metal which prevents the entrainment of deoxidizing product, ladle slag, tundish slag and mold powder and the invasion of gas bubble into a mold considered as the cause of a cast slab defect to prevent the clogging of a nozzle.
In this continuous casting method of the clean metal without gas blow hole and inclusion, the inclusion containing fine inclusion is removed by blowing inert gas from a refractory wall 2 while giving rotating movement to molten metal between a tundish 8 and an immersion nozzle 6 and the invasion of the gas bubble into the mold 11 is prevented by making the descending speed of the molten metal at lower than the ascending speed of the blown inert gas while controlling molten metal passing through cross sectional area at this refractory wall position. Further, rotating flow is given to the spouting flow by making the distance from the lower end A of the molten metal rotating part to the spouting hole B of the immersion nozzle to ≤70cm and the variation of the molten metal surface is prevented so as to prevent the entrainment of the mold powder.
