Abstract:
To provide a continuous casting method for producing a cast slab without developing the surface defect and the internal defect when the continuous casting of steel is performed.
The continuous casting is performed by using a two-hole nozzle as an immersion nozzle in such ranges that the casting velocity V of the cast slab is 0.5-3.0 m/min, the flowing rate Q of Ar gas for preventing the nozzle clogging is 3-50 N liter/min, the spouting angle θ of the immersion nozzle is 0-45°, the immersion depth D of the immersion nozzle is 30-400 mm and a value calculated with 18×V-4.9×θ+2.35×Q-0.08×D+34, is 0-40.
