PURPOSE: To perform dehumidification as a blow-off flow rate is held at a specific value and a blow-off temperature is maintained by a method wherein a damper is arranged in a position where a part of suction air to be cooled by a vaporizer does not pass the vaporizer but bypasses it.
CONSTITUTION: When suction humidity detected by a sensor 9 exceeds a present upper limit value, a damper 4 is opened, and dehumidification promoting operation wherein a part of suction air is caused to bypass a vaporizer 2 is started. When the operation causes reduction of the amount of air passing the vaporizer 2, the heat-exchange capacity of the vaporizer 2 is lowered and the refrigerant vaporizing temperature of the vaporizer 2 is reduced, whereby the surface temperature of the fin for heat-exchange of the vaporizer 2 and a pipe are reduced and dew is condensed on the surface thereof. The amount of air passing the vaporizer 2 is reduced and the passage speed is decreased, the bypass factor is reduced, and the humidity is lowered through promotion of dehumidification of sucked air. When sucked air humidity is reduced to a value lower than a lower limit value, the damper 4 is closed, and dehumidification promotion operation is released and returned to ordinary cooling operation.
