Title:
METHOD OF CONTROLLING AIR FLOW AMOUNT OF AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6249148
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a cool air flow or the like from directly hitting a person's body and improve the indoor temperature distribution characteristic by detecting the temperature of blow-ff air or the like to control the grill position, and then controlling the blow-off air flow based on the detected position of the grill.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of starting a space cooling operation, the temperature value detected by a heat exchanger temperature sensor 7 or a blow-off air temperature sensor 8 is supplied to a control circuit 10 via an A-D converter 9, and the grill is set at a point A. This grill position is constantly detected by a grill position sensor 6 to control the rotational speed of a fan motor which is one of control objects 12, thus controlling the blow-off air amount to a superfine air flow. When the temperature is gradually lowered, the blow-off air amount is gradually increased, and sufficiently cooled air is blown off upwardly in the form of a strong air flow and dispersed uniformly in the room. At the space heating time, air not heated so much is blown upwardly in the form of a weak air flow at the time of the space heating operation. Therefore, a cold air flow does not hit the user's body but warmed air is blown in the form of a strong air flow, and hence the temperature within the room is made uniform.
