Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve melting efficiency by hypothetically dividing the cross section near the raw material charging port of a furnace to a plurality of sections and charging raw materials to the temp. area where the temp. indicated by the sensor installed to each of the divided areas is highest. CONSTITUTION:The raw materials are charged into a furnace body 1 from the top or intermediate part thereof and are melted by a combustion burner in the lower part of the furnace body 1. A molten metal is taken out of the furnace body. The cross section near the charging port for said raw materials of such vertical type continuous melting furnace is hypothetically divided to a plurality of sectors. The sensors 9 which detect the temp. and/or the flame of the divided areas 8, are provided. The raw materials are then charged to the area where the temp. is highest.
