To provide a method and device for controlling coiling temperature for reducing the influence of disturbance by determining the quantity of cooling water in real time by fetching the temperature variation of a rolled stock and temperature variation on the inlet side of a conveying table and operating valves in accordance with that quantity.
In cooling the rolled stock 1 rolled with a hot rolling mill 4 with a cooling device provided on the conveying table on the outlet side of the hot rolling mill 1 and controlling the temperature of the rolled stock before a coiler to a set target value of temperature, the temperature of material cooling unit virtually dividing the rolled stock into the length equivalent to the cooling device unit 7a, 7b, 7c,... of the cooling device is predicted and the cooling device is controlled so that the predicted temperature is made to coincide with the set target value of temperature. In such a case, the quantity of cooling water of the cooling device is controlled by feeding forward so that the temperature which is predicted in real time the temperature of the material cooling unit when the material cooling unit is present in the cooling device unit is made to coincide with the set target value of temperature.
