Title:
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COMPOSITION OF NONMETALLIC INCLUSION IN STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2547139
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To micronize nonmetallic inclusions in steel and to manufacture a steel material excellent in workability or the like by specifying each content of Si, Mn, Al, O and S and the relationship between the content of Al and the content of S and executing hot rolling under conditions by which Cr2O3 is not precipitated.
CONSTITUTION: The slab of steel contg., by weight, 0.3 to 3% Si, 0.2 to 3% Mn, ≤0.005% Al, ≤0.005% O and ≤0.005% S and in which, furthermore, components are regulated in such a manner that the relationship between the content of S and the content of Al satisfies [S]≥0.25[Al]-0.00025% is manufactured. This slab is heated in such a manner that the heating temp. is regulated to ≥950°C and the heating time is regulated to ≥30min as well as (t)≤-0.05T+66 and (t)≥-0.01T+11 [(t): the heating time (Hr) of the slab and T: the heating temp. (°C) of the slab] are satisfied. After that, the slab is subjected to hot rolling to manufacture a hot rolled material, and oxide in the hot rolled material is formed into oxysulfide contg. ≤10% Cr2O3 and ≥1% S in the total S. In this way, nonmetallic inclusions in the steel can be micronized, and the steel excellent in workability or the like can be obtd.
