Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the utilizing rate and permeability of gas in a blast furnace and to obtain a decreased fuel ratio and the stabilized conditions of the blast furnace in the operation of the blast furnace by adjusting adequately the compounding of ferriferous raw materials to be charged into the blast furnace in prompt response with the quality of sintered ore.

CONSTITUTION: When the quality of sintered ore fluctuates in sintered ore, pellets and iron ore as ferriferous raw materials and the physical characteristics thereof change in the stage of operating a blast furnace, the ratio of compounding is adjusted with respect to the kinds and brands of the above-mentioned ferriferous raw materials such as pellets, iron ore or the like so as to satisfy either 1 or ≥2 among the following three conditions: The ratio is so adjusted that ≥1 among the three conditions wherein the load average value of the JIS reducibility (RI) of the ferriferous raw materials attains ≥63%, the load average value of reduction powdering index (RDI) attains ≤32% and the load average value of tumber strength (TI) attains ≥72% are satisfied, whereby the conditions of the blast furnace are stabilized and the fuel ratio is decreased.
