Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to keep the tip part of a rolled stock at a required coiling temperature and to improve the control accuracy of coiling temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The model formula is prepared in advance to control the cooling of the rolled stock. The temperature of the tip part of a finally finished rolled stock 1 at the outlet side of a rolling mill 2 and at the inlet side of a coiling machine 4 is detected by a thermometer 9 the finishing outlet side and a coiling thermometer 10. Further, a transfer speed of the rolled stock 1 is detected by speed meters 7,11. An acceleration, a forward slip, etc., in the model formula are corrected based on these detected values and the coiling temperature of the rolled stock 1 is controlled to a prescribed temperature.
