Abstract:
PURPOSE: To keep the concn. of a corrosion inhibitor above a specified value at all times.
CONSTITUTION: The carbon dioxide contained in a waste combustion gas is absorbed off with a liq. absorbent add with a corrosion inhibitor to prevent the corrosion of the ferrous material constituting an equipment in a wet carbon dioxide absorber. The potential difference between the reference electrode 19 and counter electrode 18 with the liq. absorbent in-between is compared with a limit potential range preset by a controller 20. When the difference reaches the range, an operation command signal is emitted from the controller 20 to operate a blower 17, and a requisite amt. of air is blown into the absorbent. Consequently, the concn. of the inhibitor is kept above a specified value by the air.
