PURPOSE: To provide optimum recommendable cutting data such as variable factors of the cutting tool, the machine tool, the cutting data, and materials to be cut by taking the cutting resistance as a standard in the computer program.

CONSTITUTION: In the controlling method of the cutting data and the cutting resistance by using a computer, the optimum recommendable cutting data are obtained by expressing the characteristics of a machine tool by the coefficients by taking as a standard the cutting resistance which can be obtained by the cutting tool, the cutting particulars and the material to be cut.
