Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling an electromagnetic clutch to prevent useless consumption of a power during operation of a driven machine and start the driven machine with excellent responsiveness.
A friction clutch 17 is interposed between a vehicle engine Eg and a compressor, and through input of a current, a rotor 31 and an armature 34 are fastened against each other to transmit a power. A control computer varies an input current value to the friction clutch 17 according to a load, and a fastening force between two rotary bodies 31 and 34 is regulated. During starting of a compressor, a control computer fixes a current value inputted to the friction clutch 17 to a maximum value and maintains it for a given time.
