Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method designed so as not to affect the read value of sensor with a distance between the end part of cigarette as controlled system and the sensor.
SOLUTION: Concerning the method for controlling end filling of a slender tobacco article 2, one collimate beam 16 of electromagnetic radiations at least is guided to series of photosensors 19 aligned parallelly to a lengthwise axis 3 of article 2 and partially shielded by one end of article 2, a signal generated by each photosensor 19 irradiated with the non-shielded part of beam 16 is refused by using threshold value measurement, and a signal generated by each photosensor 19 irradiated with one part of beam 16 shielded by the article 2 and permeated into the article 2 is compared with a critical value range for terminal filling.
