Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the operationability and effectively utilize the engine performance, by quickly and momentarily detecting both condition of a vehicle and will of the driver and properly determining the control method to be taken, according to the result of the detection.

CONSTITUTION: The will of a vehicle driver is detected, based on the position of both a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal in addition to the variation with time of the said position. A condition judging part 1 detects the condition of the vehicle. According to the result of the detection, the control method to be taken can properly be determined. Fuel supply to an engine 2 is conducted by a fuel injection control device 3, while the ignition timing is determined by an ignition timing control device 4. In a torque control mechanism 5, both fuel flow and ignition timing are determined in accordance with the torque deviation. With this contrivance, the operation-ability of the engine can be enhanced, while the engine performance can effectively to utilized.
