Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form ore and coke mixed layer as a wall near a furnace wall and to control gas flowing velocity in the furnace by arranging plural stirring rods for charged material horizontally penetrating the furnace wall as radial- state to the furnace wall near furnace top opening in the blast furnace and adjusting the projecting length.

CONSTITUTION: Plural stirring rods 4 penetrating the furnace wall and horizontally advancing/retreating toward furnace center part are set as radial-state to the furnace wall 2 near the furnace top opening corresponding to the height where at least charging material holds the granular state in the blast furnace 1. The projecting length L of stirring rod 4 from each furnace wall 2 is adjusted at about 120mm max. length by driving a hydraulic cylinder 3 through connecting member 5. By this stirring rod 4, the ore layer 6 and the coke layer 7 are stirred to form the mixed layer 8. By this method, the stuck material in the furnace is easily eliminated and the gas flowing velocity distribution in the furnace is suitably maintained.
