Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict energy loss required for restricting dangerous state showing surging at a multistage centrifugal compressor while restricting it to its low level as much as possible.SOLUTION: An intake temperature and intake mass flow rate at each of the stages are calculated under application of a discharging temperature Td of medium discharged out of a former compression stage estimated in reference to an index of corrected temperature through Schultz method under an assumption of polytropic process by applying an intake temperature Ts of medium sucked into the former compression stage 11a at an optional stage subsequent to a second stage, a mass flow rate Wd of medium discharged out of the former compression stage, a temperature Tss and mass flow rate Wss of medium fed from a side stream line, a flow rate to be applied from the side stream line that is necessitated for assuring a flow rate of minimum flow with a margin being added to the surge flow rate under compression ratio corresponding to the number of revolution adapted for an actual flow rate at each of the stages of the compressor through a state equation is dynamically calculated and the flow rate is dynamically controlled.
