To efficiently manufacture a seamless steel pipe whose finishing dimension is secured thanks to the continuously manufacturing line since deflected wall thickness in the circumferential direction is less and the thickness in the end of the pipe is inhibited.

(2) In the method for controlling the metal rolling described in (1), a hot thickness gage to measure wall thickness dimensions after boring in the outlet side of the boring machine is preferably provided.
