Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the inexpensive method for controlling the molten iron temperature of electric furnace refining which accurately grasps the temperature of molten iron and operation data and estimates and controls the near future temperature of the molten iron.
CONSTITUTION: The control method 18 for the molten iron temperature of electric furnace refining is equipped with a protection body 31 outside and a molten iron measuring instrument 23 incorporated with single or plural thermocouples 33 is dipped in the molten iron 29 in an electric furnace to continuously measure the temperature. A program for finding a regression formula obtained from past measured temperature value by repetitive recurrence analysis is generated and successive temperature measurement data and operation data on an energizing quantity, the amount of supplied oxygen, etc., are substituted in the recurrence expression to estimate and control the near future temperature value of the molten iron 29. Further, the program for finding the regression formula estimates and controls the near future temperature value of the molten iron 29 by a program which hold the specific number of recent data and refreshes the regression formula according to data on operation to newly be performed and a program which corrects the difference between the actual temperature of the molten iron 29 and temperature measured by the molten iron measuring instrument 23.
