To provide a method for controlling operation capable of favorably automatically operating a bundling robot even when erroneous bundling is generated in the case that the bundling robot is constructed and introduced so as to improve operational efficiency and to reduce labor.
A base plate capable of locking and keeping a wire harness, a moving apparatus 3 freely moving a bundling machine T, a bundling position storing means 89A for storing a scheduled bundling position of the wire harness, and a bundling detecting means U freely detecting the erroneous bundling are provided. In the method for controlling an automatic operation in which the movement and bundling of the bundling machine T is actuated and a number of bundling scheduling positions that are scheduled are successively bundled, the moving apparatus 3 and the bundling machine T are stopped by detecting the erroneous bundling by a bundling detecting means U, and an automatic stopping process for specifying a bundling position where the erroneous bundling is generated, a repairing process for performing the recovering processing of the erroneous bundling after the moving apparatus 3 and the bundling machine T are stopped, and a re-starting process wherein after the recovering processing, a command for the re-starting of an automatic operation is issued, and the automatic operation is re-started from the bundling operation of the bundling scheduling position where the erroneous bundling is generated are performed.
