Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an electrophotographic printer previously from the generation of heat roll offset by rotating a roll most adjacent to a heat roll out of a roll group until the operation for descending a preheater and a backup roll is completed after the end of printing.

CONSTITUTION: When an RCLS-N signal is turned to the high level after the end of printing, a one-shot vibrator 20 is oscillated. Since the output of a NOR gate 21 is kept at the high level until the stop of the oscillation of the one-shot vibrator 20, current flows into a transistor (TR)22 and the generation of an SCAF-N signal is delayed by the time width of the one-shot 20. After the end of printing, paper 9 is expanded between the lower end of the preheater 13 and a scuff roll 16 by extending the rotational time of the scuff roll 16 to prevent the paper between the lower end of the preheater 13 and the scuff roll 16 from being loosened. The rotation extending time of the scuff roll 16 is set equally to the time required up to the end of the descending operation of the preheater 13 and the backup roll 15 after the end of printing.
