To provide a method for controlling a plane shape in the tuck plate rolling which enables the shape to be rectangular and allows a highly efficient rolling when a thick plate is manufactured through rolling processes of a forming rolling, a tentering rolling and a finishing rolling.
When the plane shape of the material to be rolled is substantially finished into a rectangle through rolling processes of the forming rolling, the broad side pass rolling and the finishing rolling against the material to be rolled, in the rolling method which controls the plane shape of the material to be rolled by changing the steel thickness of the final pass in each rolling process along the rolling direction, the final plane shape estimated in advance by the plane shape model is a spool type and further, in case an additional steel thickness (ΔHB) to convert the plane shape into a rectangle arrives at the maximum value allowed owing to the limit of the plant, the steel thickness (HSOUT) after completion of the forming rolling shall be corrected.
