Abstract:

To provide a method for using the influence coefficient of rolling load and bending force which has an effect on a mill stretch and a crown in applying an absolute value gauge meter AGC to enhance plate thickness accuracy.

The influence coefficient of the rolling load and the bending force which is used in applying the absolute value gauge meter AGC and has an effect on the mill stretch and the crown is estimated beforehand as functions for the rolling load. The plate thickness and the crown are controlled by using the influence coefficients calculated according to the real rolling load.
