Abstract:
PURPOSE: To operate a charger and a conveying device in a furnace so as to immediately charge a slab supplied from a continuous casting line in the furnace, at the time of charging the following slab to the preceding slab group during conveying in the furnace by using a charger, which holds the slab charged into the heating furnace and can put the slab on the carrying device for feeding to a prescribed position in the heating furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The tail end position of the preceding slab group is detected, and after continuing the advancing movement of the charger in the furnace longitudinal direction so as to feed the following slab to the tail end position, the charger is lowered.
