The method of controlling the pure water supply system 100 of the application example includes a third piping system 107 by which a part of pure water supplied from a water treatment device 104 to a use point is returned to an upstream side of a water pump 103, driving/controlling the water pump 103 so that a first pure water flow rate Q1 is made constant as the flow rate of pure water supplied from the water treatment device 104, and also controlling a third pure water flow rate Q3 in the third piping system 107 on the basis of unused pure water flow rate Q5.
