Abstract:

PURPOSE: To precisely control the quantity of excavated muck by measuring and accumulating a quantity of muck each advance on excavation corresponding to one segment ring, and by measuring a quantity of muck during a newest one ring advance so as to compare the past quantity of accumulated muck.
CONSTITUTION: During operation of a shield machine 1, a cutter plate 5, a screw conveyer 9 and a belt conveyer 11 are driven so as to start excavation. Then, a quantity V1, V2...Vm-1 of muck per every one ring advance is measured and is accumulated in a memory device 47, and then, a quantity Vm of muck during a newest one ring advance is measured. Next, the newest actual quantity Vm of muck is compared with the past actual quantity Vm-1 of muck. If a large variation occurs, it is determined that a working face calliopes. Further, in accordance with the result of this comparison, increase in the thrust pressure of the shield machine 1, filling of sand or the like, filling of sedimental agent added with cement, and the like are carried out so as to manage the quantity of muck. Thereby it is possible to manage the quantity of muck with no affection by the filling of a back filling material and the filling of the sludge agent added with cement, and the presence of underground water.
