Abstract:
PURPOSE: To always obtain a proper image density by deciding the replenishing quantity of toner by using a separately decided prescribed value in stead by using the consumption of the toner in the case where the consumption of the toner is equal to or below the prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: The calculated integrated value of dot data is compared with a prescribed value M at step [2-1]. When it is larger than the value M, the operation is made to progress to step [2-3] and integrated data is converted into the consumption X of the toner. When it is judged to be smaller than the value M at the step [2-1], the operation is made to progress to step [2-2] and the integrated data M is converted into the consumption X of the toner. In such a way, the value M being the minimum value which can secure the minimum replenishment of the toner and which is not zero is previously decided as the prescribed value to be compared with the integrated value of writing data. Then, the toner is replenished by using the value M as the integrated value in all the cases of the integrated value less than the value M. Therefore, since the replenishment of a fixed quantity of toner is secured even when toner concentration is low, an image of the stable density is always outputted.
