To provide a method for controlling a sheet press-contact device that can suppress a curl of a sheet such as press-contact postcards caused by roundness or eccentricity of a press-contact roller.
A method is provided for controlling a sheet press-contact device: including a pair of press-contact rollers (21, 22), a drive unit for rotationally driving both press-contact rollers (21, 22), and a control unit (6) for controlling the drive unit; and press-contacting a sheet between the rotating press-contact rollers (21, 22). The method includes the steps of: measuring a circumferential speed on the surface of respective press-contact rollers (21, 22), respectively, by a circumferential speed detection sensors (41, 42); and inputting a measurement value into the control unit (6). The control unit (6) compares the inputted circumferential speed of both press-contact rollers (21,22), and controls a circumferential speed ratio between both press-contact rollers so that a circumferential speed difference becomes 0 or zero by changing at least either one of the circumferential speeds of the press-contact rollers (21, 22) when a difference occurs in both circumferential speeds.
