Abstract:
To stabilize the operation of a furnace and to control the slag so as to discharge under good fluidity by controlling the viscosity of slag produced in the furnace in various kinds of melting furnaces.
The composition of slag produced in the furnace is estimated and the property of the viscosity, etc., of slag is quickly estimated in high accuracy with an estimating equation from the estimated slag composition, and the adding auxiliary material is adjusted so that the slag viscosity becomes suitable to stabilize the furnace operation. Further, the property of slag is estimated and controlled to control the quality of slag.
