Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a soil blight controlling method improved to attain sure controlling effect and capable of shortening the flooding period and to provide a soil blight controlling agent therefor.
CONSTITUTION: Soil blight can be controlled by mixing rice bran, wheat bran, a carbohydrate and microorganisms having antibiotic activity against molds and bacteria into soil and flooding the soil. The soil blight controlling agent contains rice bran, wheat bran and a carbohydrate. Concretely, the soil blight controlling method comprises the mixing of rice bran and/or wheat bran and Pseudomonas gladioli C3-NP1, Pseudomonas aureofaciens IFO3251 or Pseudomonas fluorescens IFO14160 into soil followed by the flooding of the soil and the soil blight controlling agent contains Pseudomonas gladioli C3-NP1, Pseudomonas aureofaciens IFO3251 or Pseudomonas fluorescens IFO14160 as an active component.
