PURPOSE: To efficiently select objective conference materials by displaying the list of file names stored in relation to the destination information of a party side terminal while referring to retrieval information.

CONSTITUTION: A still picture conference system 1 is composed of a main body unit 2 for realizing a speaking function, facsimile communication function for exchanging conference materials, a telewriting function, a still picture conference function and document preserving function or the like, a scanner unit 3 for reading original pictures with prescribed resolution, and a page printer 4 for recording and outputting various documents with the prescribed resolution. Then, the retrieval information relating and storing the file names of transmitted conference materials and the destination information of the transmitting destination is formed and preserved and when designating the conference materials during the still picture conference, the list of file names stored in relation to the destination information of the party side terminal is displayed while referring to the retrieval information. Therefore, since only the conference materials transmitted to the party side terminal are displayed and outputted, the required conference materials can be speedily found out.
