Abstract:
To provide a method for controlling structure in a spheroidal graphite cast iron with which the structure having a large number of graphite grains and large ferrite ratio on the surface layer part and a comparatively small number of the graphite grains and large pearlite ratio in the inner part, is formed, and a mold used for this control method.
In the mold 1 provided with a sand mold 9 having a cavity 5 formed as a cast product shape, sprues 13, 3, 15 for supplying molten metal into the above cavity 5, and a separated molten metal path 7 for adjusting cooling speed in a slow cooling part 11 for cavity 5, the separated molten metal path 7 for adjusting cooling speed is arranged near the slow-cooling part 11 through the sand mold 9.
