Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the breakage of a metallic strip or the deterioration of a shape in the furnace even after stopping the operation of an equipment.
SOLUTION: In a method for controlling the tension of a metallic strip in a continuous heat treatment furnace for continuously heating the metallic strip, after stopping the heating of metallic strip and also stopping the operation of equipment, the metallic strip is fed into the furnace so that the tension of metallic strip becomes the preset one. Further, the feeding quantity of metallic strip into the furnace after stopping the operation of equipment, is measured and the tension control of the metallic strip is executed in the range in which the measured value of the feeding quantity does not exceed the upper limit value of feeding quantity.
