Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the winding temperature within the allowable range without reducing the yield by setting the value different from the cooling water pouring response time as the timing to increase/decrease the water pouring quantity for a boundary part between a preceding member and a succeeding member which are hot finish-rolled and different in cooling condition.
SOLUTION: A steel plate 1 is rolled by a finish rolling mill 2, a preceding member 1a of the hot-rolled steel plate and a succeeding member 1b are joined with each other and carried onto a table roller 6, cooled to the target temperature by feeding cooling water from a cooling header 9 installed on each side of upper and lower surfaces, and wound around a coiler 3. In this operation, when the preceding member 1a and the preceding member 1b are different in the cooling condition (at least one of the thickness of the metallic plate and the target winding temperature), a value larger than the cooling water pouring response time is set at the timing to decrease the cooling water pouring quantity, or the value smaller than the water pouring response time in the timing to increase the water pouring quantity for the timing to increase/decrease the cooling water pouring quantity at a joining point 11.
