Abstract:

To enable local cooling by setting a contact part of a die and a cooling core not larger than 1/2, of the die side of the core and making the part of the die side of the core into projecting parts like.

For example, an aluminum foil 1 is an article having large variation in thickness, because a joining part 6 of a spoke and a rim is specially an isolated thick wall part enclosed with thin wall parts, it is the part most difficult for directional solidifying. Therefore, by using a projection shape as the contact face 9 of an upper die 7 and a cooling core 3 and it is set only in the range of the joining part (thick wall part) 6, the heat may pass concentrically through here and is released, without accelerating solidifying of the circumferential thick wall part 8, solidifying of the joining part (thick wall part) 6 is accelerated. Consequently, the directional solidification as a whole is advanced, and the article without defective part can be obtained.
