Title:
METHOD FOR COOLING TAPERED STEEL PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3187218
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable controlled cooling of tapered steel plate in a trapezoid or angle shape.
CONSTITUTION: The method is constituted of a process in which the center part M of a tapered shape 10 is inserted into a cooling device 20, at the time of its insertion refrigerant is jetted on it and cooling is started at once from the tip end T to the center part M, a process in which starting time for cooling is staggered successively from the center part M to the tail end B of the steel plate 10 as the plate is passed through the cooling device 20, a process in which ending time for cooling is staggered successively from the tip end T to the center part M as the plate 10 is extracted from the cooling device 20, and a process in which the jetting of the refrigerant is stopped to complete the cooling at the point of time when the center part M reaches the exit side of the cooling device 20. Thus, a uniform cooling is made possible for a tapered steel plate of a trapezoid or angle shape.
