Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the correction rate by surely shorting the intersecting points of both ends of a signal line or scanning line having a defect and a spare signal line or spare scanning line.
CONSTITUTION: The registered wiring number of the disconnected signal line 11 is specified from the registered signal line numbers registered in an automatic correcting device in accordance with the result detecting the disconnected point 11a of the signal line 11. This automatic correcting device moves a display panel in accordance with this registered signal line number, recognizes the one signal line number 14a by an image recognizing device and shorts the intersecting point 13a of the side provided with this signal line number 14a. In succession, the display panel is moved and the other signal line number 14b is recognized. If the recognized signal line number 14b and the registered signal line number are different, the display panel is moved for correction so as to make these numbers the same and the intersected point 13b of another side is made to short.
